How much notice do you need?
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice for deliveries. If you're in a rush, message us on WhatsApp and we'll do our best to squeeze you in.
How big are the tubs?
Each tub holds 80 litres and measures 71 × 46 × 37 cm on the outside (60 × 37 × 33 cm inside at the base), so it's a bit bigger than a large moving box. The lids are hinged to the tub, so none go missing, and closed tubs stack safely on top of each other.
How much weight can a tub take?
Up to 25 kg per tub. That's plenty for clothes, bedding, toys and kitchenware, but a tub filled to the top with books or tins would be far too heavy to lift safely. See our packing tip below.
Any tips for packing heavy things?
Fill the bottom third to half of a tub with heavy items like books, tins, crockery or tools, then fill the rest with lighter things such as towels, cushions or bedding. The tub stays under 25 kg and is easy to lift, and nothing rattles around. Wrap plates and glasses in tea towels or jumpers, and stand plates on their edge. If you can't lift a tub comfortably, take something out.
Can I extend my hire?
Of course. Just let us know before your collection date and we'll add extra weeks at the weekly rate for your package.
Can you collect from a different address?
Yes, that's the whole point! We deliver to your current home and collect from your new one. For now, both addresses need to be in our delivery area: Greater Belfast or Ards and North Down. Delivery and collection are always free.
Do I need to be home for delivery or collection?
No. If you're not around we can leave tubs in a safe spot such as a porch, driveway or garage. Just add a note when you book.
What if a tub gets damaged or goes missing?
Normal wear and tear is fine. Tubs that are lost or badly damaged are charged at replacement cost, which is set out in our hire terms.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. Changes and cancellations made more than 48 hours before delivery are free. Get in touch by WhatsApp or email.
Are the tubs clean?
Every tub is washed and sanitised between hires, so they're safe for kitchenware, clothes and bedding.
